Vitalae Acupuncture Services

At Vitalae, we have utilized the wisdom and efficacy of eastern medicine practice, and have seamlessly integrated both western and eastern philosophical approaches toward health and wellbeing.  We believe that this fundamental understanding has allowed us to better understand the elemental causes of disease and physical degeneration, as well as the processes of re-establishing and restoring balance, stability, and vitality.  Through treating the body, mind, and spirit, we believe that we can enhance the human condition.

Provider Profile

“Yuki” Itaya Martin, L.Ac.

Yuki brings a uniquely international perspective to Vitalae which has evolved within her integrative practices in acupuncture, massage, oriental medicine and nutritional supplements.

Yuki was born and raised in Japan where she was first exposed to the healing properties of acupuncture during her work with horses. As a teenager, Yuki continued her passion of working with horses in both Canada and New Zealand. She moved to California when she was twenty and later enrolled at the Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine (ECTOM). At ECTOM she was mentored by masters of both Eastern and Western medicine. By closely studying their techniques, and earning a place on the Dean’s list, she received the title of Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine.

She has also worked at Kenshin Trading Company, a leading edge distributor of holistic health care products. While there she worked as a product specialist and nutritional consultant, assisting her clients with customized herbs and supplements.

From this holistic understanding, Yuki is able to create personalized therapies at Vitalae. She integrates Japanese acupuncture and Five Element acupuncture, which provides her clients with a wider exposure to the healing benefits of these ancient practices to achieve wellbeing, balance and rejuvenation.
