Provider Profile

Frances Lam, LAc.

California State Licensed Acupuncturist
Chinese Herbal Specialist
Certified Fitness Specialist

A native of southern California, Frances grew up in a family where respect for
health and nature were always a part of daily life. With her mother always
cooking with fresh ingredients and Chinese herbs for an assortment of different conditions, she learned at an early age the subtle interactions of combining food and Chinese herbs to combat a host of maladies.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, she entered an exciting career in the action sports industry, but with many generations of Chinese herbalists in her family, Frances intuitively knew that her passion to use Chinese medicine to help people would lead her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Frances received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University, Los Angeles, CA, graduating with Honors. Completing an advanced clinical internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as one of the first of two acupuncture interns to work at CHLA, her specialty training included conditions from musculoskeletal /orthopedics, rheumatology, oncology, complex regional pain syndrome, and neurological conditions.

Frances continues to investigate in ways to help people understand how the
application of the health components can contribute to a healthy lifestyle,
helping to prevent the onset of chronic disease. She specializes in sports
medicine, orthopedics, healthy aging, pain management, cancer support, and facial rejuvenation.

Practicing tai qi and qigong, Frances is also an avid surfer and environmentalist, volunteering with the Surfrider Foundation as the chairperson of the Rise Above Plastics program for the South Orange County chapter.

Kaci Coffee, LAc.

California State Licensed Acupuncturist                                                              Chinese Herbal Specialist                                                                                   Reiki Practitioner

Kaci was introduced to acupuncture and Chinese medicine during college when she suffered a shoulder injury while playing Div I softball at the University of Mississippi. She was intrigued by the medicine and the way the physician took the mind, body and spirit into consideration while
treating a rotator cuff tear. Kaci has always felt that what we don’t acknowledge and process on an emotional level would manifest physically. Finally, she had crossed paths with an ancient
medicine that provided a model to facilitate healing by treating the root of the imbalance.

After Kaci earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Mississippi, she went on to study acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, earning a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Monica, CA in December
2006, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She opened a private practice upon graduation, and was also a clinical supervisor at Emperor’s College both in Santa Monica, CA. Her primary focus has been treating orthopedics, pain, digestive health and stress related disorders. Kaci integrates
acupuncture, Chinese herbs and Reiki into her treatment protocols.

She feels it is her responsibility as a health care practitioner to encourage patients to become proactive in their approach to health because, ultimately, disease as well as healing, begins within. She does her best to be a positive catalyst in her patient’s lives to help them discover what it will take for them to approach and achieve balance.

Kaci finds balance in her life by being in nature. She loves hiking, long walks by the water, snow skiing and traveling to new lands. She also enjoys yoga and meditation, which help quiet her mind and nurture her spirit.
